Ask additional questions of the visitor

What all do you want to know about the visitor? In this article, I'll explain the options you have to find out more from the ticket buyer.

By configuring extra fields and questions you can ask your visitors for more information. Think for example of a phone number, age or certain dietary requirements. You can activate existing questions or add different types of questions yourself. A question can be made mandatory or optional. Per ticket you can specify which fields and questions will be shown to the visitor in the sales channel. All answers can be exported to get a good insight later on.

Activate order or ticket

If you activate order at the question then the question is asked once per order. If you activate the question ticket the question is asked per selected ticket. For example, a visitor selects three tickets where the name per ticket is activated then the system asks the visitor to enter a name three times.

The fields the system needs to complete an order are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

Making a field mandatory

If you activate mandatory at a field or question it has to be filled in by the visitor to be able to complete the order.

Add new field

You can add new fields yourself via the button.

The system has four types of fields & questions:

  1. Text: a free to fill in text field

  2. Select: the visitor can select one of the preset choices

  3. Multiple choice: the visitor can select more than one of the preset choices

  4. Yes/No: the visitor gets a checkbox that can be ticked.

Field name

Give a short name, explanation or question here that the visitor sees in the sales channel.

For example, you can have a text field called 'do you have dietary requirements or allergies' where the visitor can fill in an answer.

Use general conditions or privacy statement

If you want your visitors to agree to your own terms and conditions and/or privacy statement you can configure this via the settings of your event.

The system then shows this as a mandatory yes/no field (checkbox) in the sales channel.

See what your visitors have entered

If you want to know what your visitors have filled out in the fields and questions you have added you can create an export. The standard questions such as name, e-mail address and phone number can also be found in the order detail screen.
