Granting employees access to the scanning environment

With the scanners management feature, you can allow employees with a smartphone to scan. For example, if you have multiple access control points or need to quickly scale up at the entrance during the event. Data is anonymized and not visible to these scanners.

What rights does a sub scanner have

A sub scanner can only scan tickets to check for validity. Data, such as the visitor's email address or name, is anonymized and not visible to these scanners. A sub scanner also cannot view scan statistics, manually scan, or manage scanners.

Adding scanner instructions

The following steps describe how to invite an additional scanner:

Step 1: When you have opened the scanning environment, go to the menu in the bottom right corner.

Step 2: Click on manage scanners.

Step 3: Click on the "+" to add a sub scanner and enter the details.

Step 4: Download and open the Eventgoose app on the smartphone of the additional scanner.

Step 5: Click on I am a sub scanner and enter the pairing code.

Once the pairing code is entered, the scanner is ready to scan tickets.
