When you create a new event you will be asked to choose a setting. You then have the choice of one-day, multi-day and advanced sales. In this article I will explain what these three types of events are and how you can use them.

One-day

This type of event takes place on one specific day. For example, think of a concert or a sporting event. When creating a ticket you specify the maximum number that can be sold (capacity).

When your visitors buy a ticket for this event, the ticket is valid on the day of the event. The tickets can then also be scanned for access control with our scanning software.

Example: concert

Example: sport match

Multi-day

Choose this type of event when you organize an event that, generally speaking, takes place on several consecutive days. For example, a weekend festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

When creating your tickets you indicate per ticket how many can be sold (capacity). You also indicate on which day the ticket is valid. Think of a Saturday ticket and a Sunday ticket.

You can also make a ticket valid on multiple days. For instance a weekend ticket (passe partout). Your weekend ticket can then be scanned once on one of the days on which it is valid, in this example Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Advanced sales

You choose an advanced event when you want to use a day capacity in combination with a date selection. This can be done in combination with multiple time slots per day. You indicate which days you are open to visitors and what the maximum capacity per day or time slot is. You can still change this during the sale.

Your visitors first choose the desired tickets (or a combination of tickets) in the sales channel. Then the visitor chooses the day, and possibly the time slot, for the visit. The tickets are valid on the day the visitor has chosen.

Think of ticket sales for an exhibition in a museum with a regular entrance ticket and a discount ticket.

Example: museum sale
